Happy Thursday!
Hope you all made it over the hump gracefully. It seems like it was just July yesterday and already September! Where has the time gone? Although the seasons seem to fade in lightning speed right now, it seems like some things in my personal life are inching by, bit by bit.
How many of you know when you focus all of your energy on something that you are waiting on, it seems to creep by? I am reminded of my days in grade school when we would watch the clock at the end of the day anticipating the end of the day bell. Every moment we glanced up it was as if nothing had changed and I swear the time went backwards with how dreading-ly long it took for the minute hand to make its way around the clock.
I am sort of experiencing something similar in my life right now. I have been given direction from God on where He is taking me and even some clues on how its going to happen. I've done my part, and now its time for me to have patience. Ughhh, sometimes that word can look so nice and pretty but be annoying at the same time.
Patience, is very important because it has to have its perfect work before things happen. Sometimes, when we are not patient, it can be like taking the dessert we are baking out of the oven early, and once it starts to cool there's no turning back. How frustrating to have done all that work and your little dessert or project doesn't turn out. But it was all due to patience.
I have to stand firm on Jesus and His word. I have to believe every ounce of Hebrews 10:36:
"For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise."
I have created this lovely printable for those of you in need of something positive to look at, that reinforces today's message. Patience is one of life's greatest keys. Very important.

Love the dessert analogy. Patience is definitely something I need to work on. But it helps knowing that God has perfect timing. I just need to trust and wait on Him. ~Cynthia
ReplyDeleteLove that verse!
ReplyDeleteMe too Elizabeth! Thanks for visiting!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this scripture Robyn. It is so important where we keep our focus during the times of waiting. Doubt is a way the enemy tries to sway our faith and make us try to work towards things instead of letting God handle it. Sometimes we need to hit our head a few times before we realize anything we touch can not turn out in the best possible way unless God is leading it!
ReplyDeleteSo true Cynthia, much easier said than done. But it has many benefits, or "fruits" as the quote says.
ReplyDeleteThat is a very good example of patience. Well done! :)
ReplyDeletePatience is so many things, one of life's biggest virtues. Great Inspirational Thursday Post as per usual Jenna.
