Happy Weekend! :)
Wanted to share something with you all and expand further for those of you that follow me on instagram (as you may have already saw this).
We live in a My, Myself, and I world. Our days revolve around what we want, our lives around what is important to us. We know better than anyone else, other than God, what we are going through or dealing with on a regular basis. And when we face difficult or stressful times, we often want others to empathize with us. But we don't return the favor to those around us.
For example: When someone cuts you off on the highway or in line at the coffee shop we allow that to reduce the amount of love that we show them. When we are having a bad day and a coworker isn't helping the situation, we can be short and rude to them. When we are frustrated with our lives, we can take it out on the ones around us who show use the most love.
And then we run to God and we ask him to help us. And he does just that, with all our complaining, and bad attitudes, and how annoying we can be - he still loves us and has mercy on us. And is there.
Let's show less judgement and more love. Let's show less selfishness and more selflessness, we never know when someone other than ourselves may need it.

Using the prayer above and the scripture below, being kind is the subject this weekend.
How did you show kindness to someone this weekend?

Have a great weekend!
Excellent, every word you said is exactly true! So sad how we had become.
ReplyDeleteIt is so hard to be kind to people who are rude. That is something I need to work on.
By the way, just followed you on Twitter. ❤️
ReplyDeleteBeautiful words! Being kind all the time is definitely a test, but one that is required of us by our Lord and Father.
