Happy Hump Day!
Hope the middle of the week greets you warmly :)
My sweet girl is feeling under the weather so I'm in nurturing mommy mode. Not that I'm never in this mode, its just that when things like this happen, everything slows down a bit and I tend to focus more on what's important. And getting my baby girl back to her energetic, happy self is a top priority!
I am 4 1/2 months into this mommy thing and while there are things that come second nature - there are definitely a lot of things that don't.
I can honestly say,
I am still learning...
That motherhood is challenging and rewarding at the same exact time...
How to throw my cares to the wayside and focus on my little one when she needs me most...
That sometimes you just need to slow down and enjoy the current view, as it changes daily...
That love is more than a word, hugs, kisses, and affection. It's a way of living...
I am still learning...
That life is full of amazing mysteries and miracles such as the gift of a baby, the connection between a pair, the natural instincts of a wild animal
That there is perfection in what our world deems as an imperfection or defect...
That time is valuable and is most satisfying with Christ, family, and friends you love...
That my journey in faith, love, family will never end...
No matter what age, no matter what I gain in experiences.
I will keep learning.
I will keep learning.

In another topic, I love this shift dress. I am all about prints and will pretty much try any print thrown my way, at least once! So when I was contacted by sheinside.com to pick a couple of pieces, I couldn't resist this dress. I love the mix of colors in the print. I am all about little to no accessories. This print draws so much attention, no need to add more to it. The shoes were a gift from my sister for my birthday. They are perfect for a night out on the town - or would be super cute with jeans and a t-shirt. Perhaps, I'll try that with my next outfit post ;)
So, what do you think?
Do you feel like you can ever master something?
Or will there always be an opportunity to learn something new or even another perspective on things?
Hope you have a fantastic day!

"Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.
Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.
She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.
Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many."
-Proverbs 4:5-10
Great pics! The dress looks great on you! We are always learning- it never stops! :) You are doing so great! You are definitely the best mom Layla could ask for :)
ReplyDeleteYou are beautiful and so is your little girl. She is lucky to have a momma like you...one who is always learning and open to learn,
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you're doing a great job! Whenever you have your 2nd baby you'll know what to do and what not to do. Don't stress too much over it.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you're well on your way, darling. I think being aware of your "current view" and being present are some of the most important aspects of motherhood. Just yesterday my baby was cooing and rolling over on his side. Now he's trying to walk! Boy the time sure does fly. And I don't want to miss a thing :)
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful and I love your shift dress. And those shoes are GORGEOUS! As always I love stopping by here and reading your beautifully written words. Great post!
Lovely shift dress and that purse is so pretty! You look stunning!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a pretty dress! I love the look!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing! I think certain skills can be mastered, however most things are constantly in evolution - especially concepts. So, as you said we're always in a state of learning. What was new news today is old tomorrow in most cases.
ReplyDeleteCute dress.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful dress. Lovely shoes with it too.
