Sunday Thoughts + 8th Day of Christmas Giveaway

Happy Sunday!
 
Looking back over the week, I can truly say I have been beyond blessed by my wonderful family and friends! Me and A have also been getting caught up on bills and things before the baby comes and everything is starting to fit together perfectly! This is just evidence to me that following God's plan is the only way to the best plan for my life. 

Last night at the shower, I was beyond blessed with goodies for Layla - this isn't even half of what she received! More photos to come!

It's funny because the other day, I was driving home from work and I was in a hurry to pick up A so that we could go view the birthing center. 

With all the snow that had fallen, along with rush hour there was no way that I would have made it home and the hospital in time for the tour. I told Jesus to get me there, and I just followed His lead. Switching lanes when He gave me direction, being patient when needed and I got home in no time! 

During the drive there were moments when He would tell me to get in a lane that felt as if it wasn't moving, but sure enough as I got over it started to flow. As I was driving Jesus was telling me this is how I should go through life, letting Him guide me and trusting Him even when it doesn't look like its possible. 

What a great learning experience and real life example of trust. I give my all to you Lord, my heart, my life because I know you have the best for me!

My Gift Wishlist + 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway - Day 7

Ahhh... The weekend has finally come. I have such a busy month ahead of me, and although I like being busy - at this point in my pregnancy, I am so tired I would rather lay around! -__-

This weekend is super exciting though! It's my baby shower today, and on top of that A put up our baby girl's crib yesterday.. So I can finally get moving on getting her room together and share some photos with you all! :)

On top of that, I think we better get our tree up this weekend as well, otherwise there will really be no point in putting it up! So much to do, so little time! In all my busy-ness I have managed to come up with my wish list for this year.

one. need I explain. In loving all things cozy, slippers are a must have.
two. the belly bandit. A wrap for post partum, which I'm going to be all over since I will be trying to squeeze into that wedding dress for the summer.
three. yoga pants. I believe I am going to live in these after my baby girl is born, so time to stock up.
four. Nighty shirts. I am all about these because they are care free unrestricting, and this style from VS is so cute!
five. Nice big "wooly" looking hat. I don't know how I will get it over all of my braids, but is definitely needed due to the this recent below zero weather.
six. wool socks. will go perfect with the night gowns and oversized shirts, as I lounge this season.

As you can tell, everything I want is all about comfort and warmth which will be very important to me in the next coming months!

Week in Photos + Day 6 of 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways!

Happy Friday!

Snow, Bingo, Reindeers, Hot Cocoa, and Watch Bling..

 These are a few of my favorite things... 

one. We got hit with about 6 inches of snow this week. The commute this week was brutal. 

two. I had a holiday party at work this week & I won in bingo!! I never win :)

three. Hot cocoa was a must at work to start the day off right. Every morning. Yum..

four. Being the big kids we are, me and A hopped in line to take photos with the reindeers on our way to the birthing center tour. 

 It started off fun and harmless...

 And then the handler asked me if I wanted to kiss the reindeer...

 I don't think myself or the reindeer wanted any part in that! LOL

It's fun to just be goofy sometimes and just do something spontaneous. I told A we had better get used to doing this stuff since once we have baby girl, I'm taking full advantage of being a kid again. He's totally into it :P

So, there was a holiday event going on at the hospital when we went for the birthing tour. Families, caroling, reindeers, and hot chocolate for all. Nurses were playing Christmas music on the piano as we walked in - so maybe we came on the best day of the season... LOL

However, we loved the birthing center that I will be having my daughter at. Getting a bit of a late start on viewing it, but all I heard was good things about this place and I am so happy I will be having my girl there. The rooms are nice and spacious, jacuzzi tubs, spa rooms.. I mean I'm going to try to take advantage of it all once I get there if possible! Haha! I'm sure I'll be too involved with her to want to enjoy any of the amenities but it's nice as an option if I want to use it!
