My Plans

Happy Tuesday!

Doesn't it seem like Tuesdays are becoming a recurring theme for me? I mean, its been pretty slow around here thanks to the holidays, not to mention I've been working on getting the new site rolling. Each week I've been checking in and it happens to be a Tuesday. lol.  But what I really wanted to talk about today is how my plans for 2015 changed into something more beautiful. See I had a lot of plans, lists of things I wanted to accomplish this year and then suddenly, just like that they were put at a halt.

You see my plans, my thoughts, were beginning to confuse me, and wind me into this weave where it's all about what I want, and not enough about others. My plans were beginning to make me think I knew more than the Lord above and what He has already put in motion for my life. My plans were almost leading me away from my full potential and could have become one of the biggest distractions for 2015.

Wow, am I happy to say I heard a word of truth that opened my eyes. I began writing on this blog again a couple years ago and opened my shop last September because I just wanted to show Jesus through every inch of my life. Through my family, through my fashion, through my art. To show that you could be young, enjoy life, and be full of a fire of a true and living God.

This truth woke me up, this weekend, to realize that I have a purpose and my obedience to my savior will be the only thing that allows  me to reach my FULL potential. That means putting my ideas aside, for his. Yal, when I say that my ideas are not even a tenth of what one step of his plan is for me, I am still not explaining it fully! My focus for 2015 is to stay focused on the one above. Letting him lead me, guide me, and show me where and what to do in everything. That is the only thing I want to put emphasis on in my life. Because He is so important. He moved in me and gave me a refresh that I needed. I'm so thankful.

I am beyond excited to share more of His amazing love with the world and with each of you.

Have a beautiful blessed day, yal!

  4. Love this. It's important to find a balance in our priorities and plans. On one hand we need to think of ourselves and wants but on the other we need to be careful of how much we do that. Focusing only on ourselves we so easily forget about the ones around us who often make our plans worthwhile. Cheers to the New Year and fresh perspectives!

  24. I adore your blog but I'll be honest it's hard to understand how God has shown you the way (or is showing you the way) as I'm not religious as you know BUT I'm so happy that you feel like you have a purpose and I'm sure whatever road you go down it will lead you to where you need to be :) xx
