How was your weekend?

Mine was fun. We had a chill night on Friday, threw my sister's bridal shower on Saturday, and had a great church service on Sunday. We ended last night celebrating a family friend's birthday with dinner and drinks. 

I also got to take some fashion shots for the blog, and feature this lovely blazer from Hybrid. Hybrid sent me this beautiful piece and I am impressed with the quality of it. I love that its got the color block quality with a light cream touch. I like with jeans, but also would adore it with skinnies and knee high boots! What do you think about this Hybrid blazer? Would you wear it?

On another note - Today its snowing, like we are planning on getting a foot of snow. 

Yay! Can you hear my sarcasm? I guess I should be okay with it, since I live in Minnesota.

First off, Happy Hump Day!

The middle of the week is almost over and we are getting closer to the weekend! Cheers to all of you who are holding back from yelling at your co-workers (and/or boss), or those of you who took an extra 15 minute break at work! Let your hair down today, we're almost there!!

As for me, I have an little story about the "Live In Love" bracelets. If any of you have ever purchased Lucky Brand Jeans you would know that they used to put these bracelets in the pockets of every pair of jeans. As for me I have about 20 of them. I used to work at The Buckle where we sold denim, and upon people trying on the jeans and what not, they would be all on the floor of the store. Everyone I worked with had a few and we thought (and still do think) they were pretty cool! It's just a piece of leather with those words stitched in, but I love you how you can add it and it helps to make a bit of a statement.

Hey guys! Ok, I won't act like nothing is wrong. It has been almost two weeks since my last post. I have been busy doing other stuff (SCHOOL) but never too busy for my followers.  I would also like to thank you few that do follow me I am at 12 followers now, woo woo! :) That makes me feel all bubbly inside (No, not the kind after you just ate), the good kind!

Life has been pretty crazy with trying to plan for a trip with the girls to Miami.  We have gone for the past couple years and have definitely had a great time, just trying to figure out how we will make this year much more memorable. Other than that, I have been fabulous!  I just got my first feature guys! I was featured on Fashionista101.com.

I am in love with these boots. I stole them from my mother's closet (Surprise). I think this is a cute yet sophisticated look. I tend to lean more towards this look on a normal, day to day basis. I am working on finding someone to take shots of me and also on investing in a better camera. So tell me, where should my first shoot outside of my home be? My b/f was saying in the snow since I am in Minnesota. But I want to know what my readers think. Leave your comments :)

'Feeling Irreplaceable like Beyonce'

As I am writing this, I am still feeling the aftermath of last night's decisions. Me and a few of my ladies had a great time out on the town.  MLK Day today and some well needed resting time. My parents just got a coffee maker and I had a cup or two at night and couldn't sleep. But it was sooo good!

 Last week I started classes, but since none of my friends started until this week, I thought I might as well act like I didn't start either. Wrong idea! Everything will be fine since nothing really happens the first week of classes, but I am really going to buckle down now.

As for my outfit, this top is really cool. It's a lot of weird looking beards! :)  I decided to pair it with my black skirt and throw in the shimmery tights for something that you wouldn't expect.

I love this dress. And when I say love, I mean it. I just don't love anyone or anything, either.  I'm officially done with classes this semester and while I'm extremely happy now that I don't have to keep complaining day after day, I'm also a little upset at what next semester's class schedule will bring.

So I woke up inspired. I haven't worn these shoes in a bit and they always remind me of a secretary. :) I also think it gives off that holiday vibe, perfect for a holiday party. (Hint Hint - Someone please have one!)

Oh and I also love the detailing and beading on the top. It looks great by itself, but I decided to throw the cardigan on it, because after all it is only 30 degrees here in Minnesota, and I'd be damned if I freeze.

I like how the necklace adds just a touch of charm/class to the outfit.

OVER THE EDGE

There's a first for everything. These will gradually get better. I am trying to venture into the unknown, well to me at least. This is my very first outfit posting, many more to come.
